With the game tied after seven innings, back-to-back triples in the bottom of the eighth inning plated the winning run as Wofford defeated Furman 3-2 on Sunday afternoon at Russell C. King Field. With the win, the Terriers earned a series win over the Paladins.
Wofford is 35-18 overall and 12-8 in the Southern Conference. Furman is 23-28 overall and 10-11 in conference play. The back-to-back triples by sophomores Carson Waln and Kody Ruedisili gave the Terriers a win on senior day in the final home game of the season. Senior Conor Clancey added three hits, while freshman pitcher Adam Scott went eight innings with only two runs allowed. The Paladins were led by Brandon Elmy, who had two solo home runs.
